Meadow Creek is a 2,500 acre recreational property located on the Cumberland Plateau. The property borders Fall Creek Falls State park and is approximately 5 miles from Spencer, TN. Owned by the Navarre Family from Lookout Mountain since 1967, Meadow Creek has been used as a private place to hunt for quail, turkey, deer and dove and to fish for bass and bluegill. It has a 55 acre lake; 3 houses plus dog kennels and skeet shooting facilities. The main lodge at Meadow Creek is a 5 bedroom, 3 bath house built over the lake. Less than 3 miles away, is a paved, lighted, 3,500 foot airstrip suitable for single and twin engine propeller aircraft.
Up to 4 Hunters
The grounds at Meadow Creek have been actively managed for maximum bobwhite quail production since 1970. There are over 120 different 2 to 5 acre “feed plots” that are planted with partridge pea, bi-color lespedeza, milo and corn plus hundreds of acres of native habitat. Hunting is done either on foot or by vehicle (there is a both a Jeep and a Mule both with dog boxes.)
While the population of wild birds goes up and down depending on the year, Meadow Creek runs a first-class release quail program that insures plenty of shooting for all hunters. Supplemental feeding is done by scattering whole corn and milo thoroughly on each course once per week. Meadow Creek buys strong birds from the best growers. You do not have to kick these birds up. You will primarily be shooting into covey rises. Meadow Creek maintains a string of English Setters and Pointers plus retrievers. In an average day at Meadow Creek, a hunting party can expect to flush 15 to 30 different coveys of birds.
Lease Information – A total of 25 days of fully guided quail hunting are available for the coming season. The cost per day is $1,700 which includes a full day’s hunt with lunch. For $300, you can add overnight accommodations which includes dinner and breakfast. The daily bag limit is 36 birds per party. There is a half day hunt option available as well for $1,200. Scheduling will be done on a first come, first serve basis and will be handled in as fair and accommodating way as possible. A reasonable number of non-shooting guests (i.e. spouses and children) are more than welcome to accompany you. For those with hunting dogs, your dogs are more than welcome.
Weather Policy – As much as we would like to, we cannot insure ideal weather for everyone’s hunt. We want your experience to be as pleasant as possible, but need your participation on making less than ideal weather days work. This is simply part of hunting. Our policy is that if you make the effort to come to Meadow Creek the day of your hunt and weather prevents you from hunting, we’ll reschedule you. If you don’t make the effort, we won’t be able to provide you another day or refund. On rainy days, we’ll hunt during the rain breaks or when it is light enough to enjoy ourselves. Exceptions are if there is a solid cover of snow on the ground or ice on the roads. In this event, we’ll reschedule your hunt. Thank you for understanding!

Meadow Creek has been managed for trophy deer for over 15 years. In the opinion of many, it offers some of the finest deer hunting, especially for trophy deer, in the state of Tennessee with numerous trophy bucks seen, photographed or taken each year scoring 150 points or more on the Boone and Crocket scale.
Lots of food plots are well managed totaling 60+ acres for the deer. These food plots consist primarily of corn, clover, wheat and oats. Six box stands are in place and are great spots to sit with kids or on a rainy day. Other infrastructure (i.e. ladder stands) are in place and ready for use. In order to promote trophy bucks, Meadow Creek has instituted a policy on only harvesting bucks that score over 125 points and are 3.5 years or older. Additionally, Meadow Creek has permits to take over 60 does per year to keep the buck to doe ratio in balance.
